Ian Stevens, Holdings Board Member and Chief Executive Officer

Ian Stevens is a graduate of Edinburgh University, former Royal Air Force officer and chartered accountant who worked for KPMG in Oxford and Prague from 1991 to 1997.

Between 1998 and 2007 Ian was employed by Optos plc, a medical technology company specialising in the imaging of the retina, firstly in the role of CFO in Dunfermline, Scotland, and then from 2003 as General Manager, North America in Boston, USA.

From 2007 to 2010 Ian was CEO of Mpathy Medical, a surgical medical device company and in 2011 he joined prosthetic hand manufacturer, Touch Bionics, as CEO. Mpathy was sold to Danish surgical medical device manufacturer Coloplast in 2010 and Touch Bionics was sold to Icelandic Orthotic and Prosthetic manufacturer Ossur in 2016. ian.stevens@biofilm.co.uk

Scott Fergus, Holdings Board Member and Finance Director

Scott is an FCCA and recently joined BioFilm as Finance Director. He has extensive experience of working in and advising high growth companies across a range of sectors having over 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles. Working primarily within the Scottish SME segment, he has significant industry and commercial experience in the manufacturing area.

Marjory Harris, Sales Director

Marjory was an original member of the BioFilm management team, having worked with parent company, Devro, as part of the New Business Development group. She is responsible for all sales and marketing aspects of the business as well as working closely with clients and partners on all commercial considerations of their projects. Marjory is currently studying for a Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing. marjory.harris@biofilm.co.uk

Brian McMullen, Operations Director

Brian joined BioFilm in 2006 as Quality Assurance Manager and was promoted to the role of Operations Director In October 2011. In his previous position as Quality Manager he was responsible for successfully leading BioFilm to certification to Medical Device Standard (ISO13485:2003) and was instrumental in introducing a quality management system which will be the foundations for certification to Pharma cGMP. brian.mcmullen@biofilm.co.uk

Mark Livingstone, Technical Director

Mark joined the management team at BioFilm in December 2014 as the Technical Director and he has over 20 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and Device Industry in a number of technical managerial roles. Mark also has experience of a variety of dosage forms and has extensive working knowledge of formulating products with controlled release characteristics. He has been involved in the research stages of projects through to full commercialisation and is co-author to a number of patents. Mark has a degree in Chemical Physics and an MBA from Strathclyde School of business. mark.livingstone@biofilm.co.uk

Peter Shotter, Holdings Board Member and Chairman

Peter joined Procter & Gamble in their brand marketing department and progressed through increasingly senior marketing positions with Pepsico, Bacardi and Trusthouse Forte before joining Boots The Chemists (BTC) as Business General Manager for Healthcare in 1991. In 1997 he was appointed Director of Healthcare Businesses and joined the BTC Board, becoming Director of Stores in 1999. In 2002, he joined the Merck Group as Managing Director, Seven Seas Ltd and was appointed President and CEO of the Consumer Health division in 2004, a position he held until the end of 2011 when he retired. He joined BioFilm as non-executive Chairman in February 2012.

David Atkinson, Holdings Board Member

David is a co-founder of Circadia Ventures LLP which manages Tate & Lyle Ventures LP a London-based fund backed by the global food ingredients company Tate & Lyle. He has a background in investment banking with a specific focus on the food industry. David spent 14 years as an equity research analyst specifically focused on the food processing industry before co-founding Stamford Partners in 1998. Stamford Partners is a leading investment banking firm providing merger & acquisition and strategic consulting services to the European food industry. David has also held several senior management positions in the European equities operations of NatWest Markets and Bank of America Securities, as well as acting as a consultant to HSBC and the VC industry. Currently he serves on the Boards of ProLupin GmbH and Nutriati Inc. as well as BioFilm.
